Okay, so I decided to put my other LJ (<lj user="jessmorgan">) to use as a diary. All of my new random crap will land over there if you get bored.

It's pretty much just stream of conciousness. :D

Heh. Skills are fail for this one.

Oh well. Off to clean now. If I can get everything cleaned up today (including the shed, the garage, AND the basement) I'm going to try to drabble a little more, or do some more random 'nameless smut'.

I really need to decide what I want to call that stuff. Mystery Porn maybe?

Cheers,
KM
(You know, I have so many names I don't know what to put there. Oh well, when in doubt, wing it.)

PS I gotta get rid of the ferretts. They're cute, but they don't convey a whole lot of emotion.

I'm not well known for keeping up to date with my social networking sites. Yet look at this! I tweeted three times in the last two days (record breaking for me!) and I've updated my LJ more than once in the last month.

I'm trying to get into the habit of forming habits. I need to work on developing and maintaining habits. I've got lots of things I need to study and I have the worst record at setting aside time to do it. So I decided to start with something far less annoying.

So right now I've decided that Clue is the best movie ever made. It's on right now.

'He wasn't a very good illusionist.'

My hands are all wrinkly.

I don't know why.

=D

This has been your daily-ish dose of weird.

Wew!

Well, I'm not back completely, but I am back a little.

My fanfic efforts are going to have to stay offline for now since I'm using my Dad's laptop for internet. Hopefully I'll get my computer online fairly soon.

I think I actually found a job. Hooray! I've been out of work since early May, so this is a nice change. It's at an assisted living home nearby. Not my usual type of job, since I've been in retail (more of less) since I was 15. Ten years in the same career field is too much for me.

If I end up liking this, I'm going to go back to school again. Try and get my RN. The whole friggin family is in nursing and what not, so I'm just bowing in to the inevitable.

All I have to do now is find some way to pay for the physical and TB test, and I'll be good.

Moved back to my Dad's house. Sucks, but it could be worse. At least it's free rent :D

So, now I just gotta get my ass in gear and get my ducks lined up and knocked down and I'll be good.

For now though, I think I'll go outside and get some sun.

My cousin Nathan is a real smartass. On Father's Day, we all got together at Uncle Jim's house to play in the pool and eat food. Nathan lookied me up and down in my swim suit and said,"Jess, the Good Lord created this thing, called the SUN. Ever heard of it?"

I kissed him on the cheek and then pinched the hell out of him. He may have had a point though. My legs aren't just white, they glow with their own internal power source. On a pitch black night with no moon, no stars, and no street lights, they still shine like the sun.

What's saddest is I'm of native extraction. Sad sad sad.

Well, I'm gonna see if I can't find a sun towel or two and go out there and try to be less shiney. Maybe I'll call my mom while I'm at it and see if I can talk her into paying my doctor's fee. Should be fun. Bah.

Rawr.

Cheers,
J

Well, the computer has gone through epic failure once again.

At least I figured out what the deal is. Now I just need two gigs of ram and a new hard drive.

Unfortunately, the only ram Newegg has is the same stuff I'm currently running, or off brand stuff which will not survive the horrors to which I will subject it.

So I'll be making my first  Tigerdirect purchase I suppose. The HD is cheaper there too.

So... I draw a comic. It's been on hiatus for a few months since my muse up and went on vacation without me. And no, I don't write it. The lovelies at the FLOW forum do that for me.

So here's a little sketch, complete with lyrics, of a dream I had. Trying to lure the muse back.

Cut for your safety. Warning! Spiders ahead! )

Thank you for your patience with my random stupidity. It happens.

Ah... improved

Well, I went back to work a day or two ago.

I decided that when one gets bored enough to wonder just how long it would take to catch the paint on the wall on fire, it's time to stop sitting still.

Mind that I wasn't actually going to do it, I was just getting too curious for my own comfort. I'll set up a controlled experiment outside someday and answer this question, but for now, no trying it on the living room walls.

I'm still not completely well, but I can do my job. And I've come to the saddening and maddening conclusion that the steroids are a very bad thing for me. Even ignoring the constant eating, I have a thirst that will NOT end, and either a swollen or infected gland in my throat now, probably a salivary gland judging by the location. That and the mild retardation I seem to be experiencing after taking the roids, the constant low grade temp when they're in effect, and the not sleeping.... sounds like bad side effects and kidney involvement.

I'm keeping an eye on it though.

Do I have any nurses who read? How many times should I be peeing when all I do is drink? Inquiring minds want to know, and I can't catch any of the family nurses on the phone.

Oh well, if things start coming out funny colours, I'll just go to the hospital. Problem planned for and solved.

On the good news side, all this free time I had to experience led me back to picking up the guitar again. Let's hope I remember not to put it back down while the blisters are healing.

*cough*cough*cough*

I have pneumonia.

Ewwwwww

The steroids won't let me sleep. I'm quite tempted to go into work and talk with the managers. The doctor said that I could go back to work as early as Sunday, as it's my next scheduled day, but I'm feeling so weak...

I'm going to go in and let them know that I don't have the energy to do my job properly. Hopefully, they'll find some help for Bekah and Jonny B, so that they aren't too short handed.

I didn't get my doctor's note for work when I went in because I wasn't sure how quickly I'd be able to go back. But even I can hear the wheezing in my lungs with the $10 stethescope that I got for my halloween costume. Cheap, but real. Thank you Walmart.

I'm on the strangest mix of drugs, none of which have I ever taken, except maybe the cough syrup. It's happy juice version with the weak codeine in it. Amazingly, neither it nor the antibiotics are making me too terribly sick to my stomach.

Doxycycline cannot be taken with food. as all sorts of things bind with it and make it lose it's efficacy. So, no food for two hours before or one hour after. Okay then. I can handle that.

The Dexpak is a 13 day sequence of 51 steroid pills. They make me hungry, which is good. Because if you don't eat with them, they'll give you ulcers.

Does anyone see the mismatch here? At least an hour between my pills. Eww. Also, annoying since my break at work is only an hour for lunch.

I just watched Barack Obama be inaugurated.

Finally.

Finally.

That man carries the hopes of a nation on his shoulders. We hope that he has the strength of character, and the strength of purpose, to carry us back out of the shadows.

I never thought I'd live to see this day.

And I hope it presages many more such changes in the near future.

Finally.

Hooray! How long was I using that old theme? Forever?

Meh. Off to watch movies and crochet.

If I get Katie's christmas present done before thanksgiving, I don't have to mail it. Rock.

When my hands get sore, I get to go clean. What a day I have planned.

Well, I've decided that I have a slightly unhealthy love for Girl Genius. It's just so damned cute.

It's also the first and thus far only comic which I've purchased merchandise from. But I just love me some Jaeger boys.

I may end up writing fanfic for it.

Oh wait. I already have.

Well, more fanfic. And probably something het. Because everything else I've ever written was not only gen, but completely PG except for mild language.

Which those who know me well would have trouble believing...

It's not often that you'll see me do this.

But I'm speechless.

Except for the OMG

I just keep repeating it.

Because my brain just broke.

I went link surfing.

And found Care Bear BDSM fanfic.

WTF.

I'm going to link it. I'm going to recommend you don't read past the words 'PS. Here's an address."

That's where you should stop. I'M NOT KIDDING

Got three new instruments for my birthday.

Including another guitar. I had trouble figuring out where to display two of them. What am I supposed to do with a third?

Not to mention the gigantic keyboard my dad gave me because he never plays it.

Speaking of, I should go google for a charger, since I'm too cheap to run it on batteries.

Blargh! Guitar practice and then sleep. Hopefully in that order. I should clean too, but I didn't manage to sleep much yesterday since I woke up in 'the middle of the night' with a desperate craving for something sweet. A craving that drove me halfway across the county to my dad's house to get birthday cake.

Damned good cake. Yum.

EBay is an amazing place. I will soon have all three original FLOW albums in limited edition. A whole lot cheaper than they would have been originally.

And as far as I can tell, they're the real deal. Not fakes. Legal PV and video for me and happy healthy mp3s.

Guess who...

After a disturbingly long hiatus, I've caved under the pressure of internet withdrawals, and I'm now paying for Cable. So I'll be here and there if anyone cares.
